Catrese Brown
Irvine is a great speaker with a compelling story to tell. When listening to him talk about what he learned from the Pub, his description was so captivating that I felt like I could picture the buildings and the people. He is funny, poignant and makes me want to hear more!
Donna Jones Daley
Irvine Nugent was keynote speaker for the 10th Year Anniversary Celebration of ICF Maryland Chapter. Our theme was Our Story: Past, President, Future. Irvine was engaging and inspirational as he guided us on his personal journey in confronting change and uncertainty while growing up in Northern Ireland. In sharing Leadership Lessons from the Pub, his new book, Irvine empowered us to find ways to continue tell our Chapter’s story, to be resilient, and to continue to engage and deepen our relationships with our members. If communication is at the heart of leadership, storytelling by leaders is the life force that ensures that the organization grows, adapts, and thrives. Irvine, thank you for your generosity and for reminding us of the power of great storytelling! Donna Jones Daley, President, ICF Maryland Chapter

Irvine offers a number of keynotes and breakout sessions. All of them highlight stories that grab the audience and are infused with passion, dynamism and of course his natural Irish humor. Paramount is the importance that each person leaves with practical tools based on the latest scientific research that they can implement immediately. His most popular keynote is Leadership Lessons From The Pub. You will discover how: • You have more power that you think to set the mood and tone in the workplace and thus have greater impact on increasing workplace engagement, retain top talent and driving up performance. • You can choose more thoughtful responses even when you have been emotionally triggered and thus avoid poor decisions and behaviors which erode the level trust in employees and customers and result in reduced financial performance. • You can uncover untapped stories buried deep within you that have the power to engage and connect with employees and customers which will drive up loyalty and differentiate your organization in a crowed market. Our Workshops Include: Emotional Intelligence Training (1 Day or 2 Day Workshop) This workshop will give you the tools, techniques, and approaches to become the master of your emotions and ensure that they are working for you, and not against you. You will learn how to read facial expressions, plus the other four channels, that we need to pay attention to in others if we really want to know what they are saying: body language, voice, verbal style, and the actual words spoken/written. Presentation Skills Intensive Workshop (1 Day or 2 Day Workshop) Mastering Body Language Secrets for Leaders (1/2 Day or 1 day Workshop) Visit www.microexpressionscourse.com for upcoming workshops Show less

Cutting edge seminars based on scientific research and guided by the work of Dr. Paul Ekman. There are two main course offerings. Emotional Skills and Competencies (ESAC) This two-day core program is centered on cutting-edge behavioral science and will prepare you with the knowledge, understanding, skills, and application of emotional competencies. The course is designed to help you become aware of your own emotions (before they get you into any trouble!), and the emotions of those around you. Based on Dr. Ekman’s science and leading-edge training methodology you will use the emotional timeline from trigger… to impulse… to action to understand the challenges and skills around awareness through that process. Evaluating Truthfulness and Creditability (ETAC) This three-day course will teach you how to read and evaluate others through their verbal and nonverbal behaviors and use this skill to accurately evaluate their credibility or uncover any deception. During this program you will go far beyond just analyzing the words, you will learn how to read and interpret all 5 core channels of communication and how these can be used to expose the true thoughts of others. The 5 core channels of communication are: • Facial expressions, • Body language, • The voice (pitch, tone, and volume) • Verbal style (the way a person talks) • Verbal content (the words a person uses) As well as the unique, five channel approach to training you will also learn about memory, and how you can work out whether a statement of an event is remembered or being constructed through scientific content analysis.
