After a wide-ranging series of candidates interviews in early 2020, I made the decision to bring Josh on to our iOS Developer team @GigabiteLabs, not only because of his prior experience developing with similar tech to what we needed at the time, but MOSTLY because of his clear demonstration of his intellectual curiosity, willingness to learn & grow, and his overall ability to communicate his great ideas effectively to both me and our potential clients. Josh was tasked with a monumental project for our team: create a completely self-contained, modular, extensible custom framework to enable any of our current or future iOS applications to interact with our proprietary backend— and he knocked it out of the park. Some stats of what he achieved for our team: - 90+ % code coverage achieved in automated testing using the XCTest suite - 70+ % documentation completed - No external or third party dependencies (all native Apple Swift frameworks) - All data objects use codable protocols to transform API responses from raw data and back, and are totally compatible with CoreData, RealmDB, NSUserDefaults, etc. - Performance is fully optimized during API operations with little to no overhead - Protocol-Oriented programming is employed and successfully leveraged for control-flow and ease of adoption. In short, I’d like to strongly recommend Josh for any project or team that is looking for a developer who: - Cares deeply about his work and takes personal responsibility for his contributions to a project - Is willing and fully able to flex and jive with changes and / or new technologies - Is going to either get development tasks right on the first pass, or keep hammering at it until everything is fully up to spec. And on a personal level— Josh is a very nice guy to talk to and work with. He never let us down, and I’m confident that he will continue to experience success in his career and continue delivering Ws to his teams and projects with his exceptional skillset and work ethic.

Josh has had a tremendous impact on the development and improvements of our mobile apps. He is an efficient developer who codes fast and well. A curious autodidact who asks a lot of pertinent questions and constantly expands his technical skills. He's helped the company in a variety of projects, building core elements of our applications as well as implementing key features such as geo-location, tagging systems , or in-app notifications. He also has great sense for user interface and user experience design. His creativity and attention to detail is definitely a plus any company with iOS needs would benefits from.
