I conduct subsurface exploration and soil analysis, as well as assist project managers with generating analyses and recommendations for various foundation designs. I use soil properties and classifications to determine groundwater effects, settlement analysis, soil erosion, California Bearing Ratio, elastic modulus, subgrade reaction, lateral earth pressures, geological hazards, soil bearing capacity, side friction resistance, and slope stability.The project scopes vary in both the public and private sectors, and include, but are not limited to electrical transmission, airfield and airport pavements, roads and bridges, and sanitary and storm sewers.
