Five Guys is a 1500 plus unit restaurant chain that does very little advertising, so it is really important to us that our social media engagement is on-point and true to our brand. Our Social Media Manager was leaving Five Guys to embark on an opportunity with Applebee’s and we wanted to take our time finding a full-time replacement. However, our small marketing team did not have the capacity to cover social media while we went through the recruiting process. In comes Jess Hanebury. We reached out to Jess to help cover day-to-day community management of our North America and Ireland social media accounts as well as create on-brand content for those platforms. Jess jumped right in and took on the task with enthusiasm and expertise. Although we are a large brand, our growth has been so aggressive that we do not have many extensive guidelines in writing. Long story short, we handed Jess our brand book, a few FAQs on a spreadsheet, a few templates and said go. This was all while reminding her that she needed to be on high alert for any possible social media crisis and that our customers expect quick responses. Jess took it all in stride. She asked the right questions and sought out the right people to provide her with the resources she needed to do a great job. We were impressed by how quickly she understood our brand and felt very comfortable knowing that Jess was on the front line of customer interaction for Five Guys. Additionally, her creative work was not only on-brand, but she had great ideas to add to our existing portfolio. I would highly recommend Jess for any creative or communication project. She will be able to adapt to anything that is thrown her way and works well with others to seek out information and get the job done. We will definitely consider Jess again when we need freelance work either on social media or other marketing projects. ~ Molly Catalano
