  When I returned to Pakistan in 2004, I tried my best to sell my experience and services as a Self Employed. And ALHAMDULILLAH, I succeed in my intention. Very soon I signed an agreement with a Brokerage House of the Karachi Stock Exchange, to work as their Agent on an agreed commission sharing formula. Immediately I started hunting clients and very soon built a reasonable Clientele, which was more than enough for me to maintain a life-style higher than before I went abroad. By the Grace of Almighty ALLAH, in a short period of 1-year time I was being able to maintain a clientele of more than 100 investors. Out of which 20 to 25 clients are the portfolio investors of above Rupees 10 millions to 30 millions. In the second year of my business I was able to include some Corporate Clients in my client list. I was also serving two corporate clients’ portfolio investment for their employee provident fund, one stock-listed mutual fund and one financial institution.   AET is a subsidiary of SIGMA / FAISALIYA GROUP and their Food Division was included various world-renowned food and consumer products such as KRAFT, SUNWHITE Rice, DABUR, and UNILEVER etc. Later on this business was taken-over by OLAYAN – GTC. In this organization I was mainly responsible for handling their Insurance related matters. As they were having a number of Insurance policies to cover the risk of their working capital, a Vehicles Fleet of over 200 vehicles, various assets, warehouses, cold-storages, employees and their benefits, world-wide and inland travel policies and an open-cover of marine policy for incoming import consignments. This company had a very efficient Integrated Software System. All segments of Finance Department, Inventory and Sales Departments on various locations, were supposed to update database on a routine basis, while management was able to review the company’s product-wise, department-wise and location-wise profitability on daily basis with a budgetary control system. In addition to handling Insurance matters I was also responsible for coordinating with Accounts Manager to prepare monthly Management Consultancy Report (MCR) i.e. a special format of the Final Accounts. I was also responsible for producing Final Accounts on monthly basis for one of our sister concern in Pakistan. In which investment was made by the owner (H.R.H.   When I joined, Coca Cola was just introduced in Kingdom after the Gulf War, and there was a staff of only 50 to 60 employees for Accounts and Marketing all over Saudi Arabia. During my 3-1/2 years tenure I experienced a great exposure of business expansion of this world renowned company, while their employees reached over 1,500 with Bottling and Canning facilities on 2/3 locations in the Kingdom, warehouses and sales offices in various cities together with regional head offices and sales depots in small towns. I was responsible for maintaining records and preparing reports for their Western Region’s (Jeddah – Makkah – Madina and Taif etc.) Post-Mix Department. My job description was as under:  To manage to update their A/c Receivable System on daily basis and produce various reports for the management on daily and weekly basis.  To supervise the update of the Sales Journal on daily basis and to summarize in the form of daily, weekly and monthly Sales Reports for various locations and consolidation there on.  To prepare Consolidated Regional Collection Report after reports from branches being collected, for retail sales. Then also to prepare Journal Vouchers for the Sales and Collection.  To prepare Reconciliations of A/c Receivable and Bank Balances with General Ledger System.  To summarize the Region’s expenses for further approval by the Regional Controller and also to encode and prepare Journal Vouchers.  To follow-up the long outstanding receivables from the sales department and direct to the customers and on that basis approve further supply orders. My responsibilities were to supervise auditing and recording of more than 10 branches’ inventory and sales transactions, of their ABS and Machinery ( Komatsu / Kubota ) Divisions. My department was responsible for preparing various periodic reports such as Monthly COGS, Inventory Valuation, Inventory Management, Accounts Receivable Ageing, Collection Report and Inventory’s Obsolescence Report on VAX / VMS mainframe computer system.
