Analyst Relations is not about setting up meetings. It is about helping business leaders align goals with the expertise of analyst to improve outcomes. I develop strategic inbound and outbound AR plans for senior leadership, collaborate with product management, product marketing and executives to understand how analysts can help with corporate strategy, product roadmaps, customer win/lose analysis, marketing messaging and more. I believe that AR is as much an internal function as it is an external function. It is building bridges between executives, companies and analysts. Analysts influence IT purchase decisions and are an important part of every sales cycle. After the Passlogix acquisition was completed by Oracle I decided to focus my career as a Director of Analyst Relations. As part of Oracle's award winning AR team, I manage the strategic relationships with analysts from firms such as Gartner, Forrester, IDC, Ovum and more.I am responsible for building a comprehensive and strategic plan for my solution areas within Oracle. I manage all faucets of each AR plan from preparing new initiatives , building relationships internally and externally to working closely with executives to align goals with sales targets. Briefings, strategy days, inquiries, events, research summaries, understanding research calendars and relationship building are all key parts of each plan. AR is about understanding your company and how analysts work with their clients to match priorities and goals. Show less

During my 9+ year tenure at Passlogix I was responsible for all Public Relations, Analyst Relations, Marketing (direct and in-direct) and events. I was part of the Passlogix Executive Management Team and part of the annual planning and budgeting process. I managed a budget of over $1M annually where I created inbound sales leads to help the company successfully meet our annual revenue goals. In addition, I negotiated all marketing-associated vendor contracts as well as present on all results quarterly. It was my job to create and maintain Passlogix's public image through AR, PR and presence at various industry events. My role at Passlogix also allowed me the privilege of interfacing with many of our Fortune 500 customers and creating our first Customer and Partner Councils. Passlogix was acquired by Oracle in late 2010. After LEC, I joined the Oracle AR team. Show less
