Audio-visual Facial Expression and Emotion Recognition (FER) under the supervision of Prof. Maja Pantic and Dr. Stavros Petridis and in collaboration with the Samsung AI Center - Cambridge, UK. Developed a novel audio-visual FER dataset and predictive models for continuous dimensional FER. The main contributions were proposing multi-task learning frameworks and both temporal and visual self-attention yielding improved explainability and state-of-the-art performance.
