I serve as the Program/Project Manager for the Geospatial Platform Shared Services in the Federal Geographic Data Committee (FGDC) Secretariat. The FGDC leads and supports the National Spatial Data Infrastructure Strategy and spatial data policy development in the United States. The FGDC also coordinates with international organizations having an interest in spatial data infrastructures. I am responsible for providing broad technical leadership, interagency coordination, and partnership development activities with Federal, State, local, international and other organizations to support and implement geospatial capabilities and initiatives. This includes leading interagency, interdisciplinary, and international committees and workgroups, and providing expertise in support of national and international initiatives. Roxanne is responsible for providing leadership for interagency and national development of common approaches to the incorporation of geospatial capabilities. Roxanne promotes access to geospatial assets in support of governmental business activities through the design and deployment of common registries that support service-oriented data and systems and promotes adoption of best practices for geospatial data stewardship and support of the Geospatial Platform as an OMB recognized Shared Service.
