The project comprises a 110 (gross) MW Central Tower unit with molten salt central receiver technology and 17.5 hours molten salt storage system, enabling it to supply electricity in a stable way for 24 hours a day.Project – NE1-700MW CSP + 250MW PV Hybrid Project (Dubai, UAE). The project comprises four concentrated solar power units, one based on Central Tower configuration using molten salt central receiver technology with a maximum net capacity of 100 MW and three based on Parabolic Trough collector technology (200 MW each). Within the Thermo-Chemical Processes Group (GPT). Working for the project "DEVELOPMENT OF A CARBONIZATION PROCESS FOR THE RECOVERY OF CASHEW NUT SHELLS IN DEVELOPING COUNTRIES". The goal of the project is to develop a simple, scalable and reliable pyrolysis reactor to carbonize cashew nut shells. It is aimed to obtain good quality charcoal and also to recover cashew nutshell liquid (CNSL) and bio-oil. Carried out the following tasks: -Planning and conducting experiments to optimize the carbonization of the raw material. - Characterization of the products at a chemical laboratory. - Design, construction and development of pilot pyrolizers in Burkina Faso. - Collaboration with the local population in order to perform tests in traditional kitchens with the produced charcoal, comparing it with their local alternatives (wood and wood charcoal). - Preliminary market study in order to analyze the feasibility of implanting cashew shell charcoal in the local market.
