Sara Walch

My name is Sara Walch, and I’ve had the pleasure of working with Sulochana for two major fundraisers. In my varied career, I have been involved in the development departments for two national non-profit organizations. In my experience in development I was in charge or directly involved in putting together fundraising events, including scheduling, sponsorships, silent auction donations, and event night in general. Because of this experience, I was happy to join Spokane Public Montessori Auction Committee to fundraise for my children’s school. Sulochana was a part of the committee in charge of software for the first year I joined and then moved up to the auction committee chair the second year I was a part of the committee. In the first year, I was impressed by her ability to keep all software problems organized and run trainings for those of us who would be utilizing the software the night of the event. Attempting to work with ten individual people’s schedules and then keep everyone engaged in the trainings was no small task, but Sulochana handled it with grace and poise. In my second year, Sulochana impressed me again with her ability to coordinate the entire event. Running a major gala event is no small task and running an event of this magnitude with a group made up entirely of volunteers who have their own jobs and schedules outside the event is a daunting task. Sulochana was able to keep each subcommittee accountable, organized, and pulled off an event that everyone enjoyed. Her organization skills were far above most other event coordinators I have worked with, which was invaluable in creating a successful event. Another element to her success as Auction Committee Chair was trusting her sub-committee leaders to complete the tasks delegated to them. She would check in with each sub-committee chair to ensure they were completing what needed to be done, but she was careful to give each person the freedom to succeed on their own with minimal intervention from her unless it was asked for. The ability to trust her team is a rare skill in a world of micro-managing. I have greatly enjoyed working with Sulochana over the past few years and I look forward to working with her again. Any organization would be lucky to have Sulochana be a part of their team. Sincerely, Sara Walch Station Administrator, Southwest Airlines 619-916-8228

I've had the honor and pleasure of working with Sulochana at two different companies over the last 5+ years. She is an adept communicator, both written and spoken (in Spanish in addition to English), and is extremely focused and productive in all of her professional endeavors. Always reliable and insightful, Sulo adds value to every work product that she touches, whether related to marketing (content and social media), writing press releases and proposals, or performing industry / market research. I couldn't recommend Sulochana more highly.
