Having dealt with Dean as a supplier for many years, I have always been impressed with his innate sense of fair play and ethical approach to business. He has high expectations of his suppliers and takes a partnering approach to relationships, whilst always being commercial. Organised, intelligent and very knowledgeable, he has an ability to cover a variety of roles and I know from personal feedback, he is highly respected by both staff and work colleagues.

Dean was responsible for the smooth management of Lotto and Big Wednesday for a number of years. I worked alongside him from 2007 to 2010 as the draw audit invigilator. It was always a pleasure, usually the highlight of my working week! I am happy to recommend Dean. A professional at all times, Dean had the respect of all involved in the Lottery televised draws, and always worked with a smile.

MPI’s purpose is growing and protecting New Zealand. One of MPI’s business units is Biosecurity New Zealand, and its focus is on stopping unwanted pests and diseases at the border, before they get to New Zealand, and eradicating or managing the impact of those already here. Primarily, my team led and coordinated logistical services that facilitated the delivery of core operational functions for the 8 directorates in the 1,800 strong Biosecurity NZ group. I was responsible for 48 staff (including 3 Team Managers & 5 Team Leaders) across 13 locations in New Zealand. I reported to the Director of Intelligence and Biosecurity Support Services.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer. Leadership of Logistics team, Retail Support team, and Draw Operation team. The three key focus points for the past 10 months was first to transition the Draw Operation (Lotto & Big Wednesday draws) from Avalon Studios to TVNZ in Auckland. The second focus was to transition the Logistics operation from Wellington to Auckland. The third focus was the setup of a new team in Auckland after having a very experienced team in Wellington.
