  Heya is a social experiment around geo-localized objects. Users place eggs with a secret inside. I conceptualized the whole product from A-Z from UI/UX/design to backend architecture. The design was realized with wonderful Sketch App. The backend is a custom NodeJS API. The front-end is native iOS with amazing ARKit and some custom MapKit.   I led the machine learning effort at Elastic coming up with several novel solutions in nearest neighbor search, simple classification and for more advanced supervised learning. This resulted in the implementation of three commercial plugins called Item Query, Classify and Vectorize. Item Query generalizes on More Like This in order to perform nearest neighbor search on multimedia documents. Classify is a simple distributed classification tool based on Lucene Classification. And Vectorize lets developers use any third package of choice to train and evaluate ML models on a given Elasticsearch index. I also taught the Elasticsearch core training in Paris.
