Steve Carrera was the Design Supervisor at Proserv during our time together. Steve led the team to switch from Inventor to SolidWorks and helped set-up the Engineering Data Management System (EDMS). Steve transferred legacy and created new CAD formats, templates, and parts libraries. He successfully implemented the software transition while still maintaining support for legacy projects that were still on-going. Steve supervised a team 10+ designers during the software transition and maintained support for multiple projects, each with changing priorities and unique client requirements. He was able to balance project support, changing project requirements, and multiple CAD/EDMS demands. Steve’s technical capability, leadership, and ability to balance multiple and sometimes conflicting demands enabled delivery of $33 MM of equipment.

Steve is a great asset to any organization as either a single contributor and/or in a supervisory position. He is competent in several CAD platforms. AutoCAD, Inventor, and Solid Works are examples of software I know he has mastered. He also has the soft skills required to supervise others and while helping them grow to their potential. Steve is someone who is pleasant to work with on a project and understands the time constraints and pressures many projects require. Steve is worth your time for an interview if looking for someone with his skill set ... Steve makes for an excellent employee. Sincerely, Jared Huffman
