Maciej Lach has worked in my team of developers (first at Siemens, then at Nokia Siemens Networks) for around a year and a half. He was responsible for many different software development tasks. I’m writing this letter to highly recommend him as an employee with your organization. Maciej is a very ambitious and intelligent young man who also happens to be a brilliant Java developer. When he joined my team his skills were already very high and during the whole working period he kept showing how valuable he was to the team. It was his abilities that made him a member of a group which was given the most difficult and tiresome tasks. Maciej never gave up and always showed a good attidute, even at the times of highest pressure. I'm convinced that in this period his contribution was a key factor in the success of the project as a whole. In the last months Maciej kept working in the same group of people but on a completely new project which was the first attempt to introduce "agile approach" to software development in our department. It was a time when he was able to show not only his technical side but also a whole set of highly useful "soft" competencies. After the months of working together I can honestly say that Maciej is a very open person with very high communication skills. He provides help to other people volunteerly and acts as a coach for less experienced developers. He is also able to self-organize and act without being directly asked by picking the tasks that need his attention most. Taking into account our new "scrum" based organization, Maciej was simply the right person to do the job. I highly recommend Maciej as an employee, and I also deeply regret that we cannot keep him within our organization any longer.
