I love spending every day deep in conversation, collaboration, creation and management of philosophy and tangible outcomes of student learning and interaction. As the product owner of the science department, I led the initiative to partner with third-party vendors to create industry-unique open-ended virtual simulations/labs. The virtual labs uniquely allow students to use curiosity to design, and explore scientific phenomena in the virtual course. I work cross-functionally with developers/programmers, SME's, editorial, QA and C suite level managers to create immersive, effective, student experiences. The labs were a vital part of the research-backed philosophy with benchmarks and milestones I created in order to make Subject's science team an industry leader. To execute this vision, I collaborated cross-functionally with product, engineering, production, revenue, and education teams to create benchmarks toward optimizing content-specific learning design. I also managed both full-time and part-time stakeholders on my team, other teams, and third-party teams to drive toward quality cross-functional outcomes. As a true championship team player, I am always ready to jump in where there is a need. For example, I created a company-wide system to manage, organize and share curricula across internal and external stakeholders. Show less

I would be excited for the opportunity to give this talk again or expand on it. As the Academic Director of the Center For Development's summer program, I ensured academic excellence in 27 classrooms. To ensure an awesome experience for students, I observed class experiences, gave actionable feedback, and coached instructors and resident teaching assistants. I also supported students by communicating with families about progress and providing support to help support their student's success. Working with the academic team we were able to ensure that our 500 students had an amazing experience. I was also on the ground problem-solving, mentoring, and supporting our staff. One staff member wrote, "I showed them what true leadership looks like" I used my curriculum writing and instructional expertise to design/provide a 5/5 star experience student and administrator-reviewed, experience for gifted middle schoolers. We focused on using social-emotional skills to have poignant and respectful student-driven discussions. Show less
