At Coliseum Lexus, I was able to move up quickly from being a Master Technician to a Master Diagnostic Specialist. In this job, I am able to lead a team of technicians, effectively communicate with management, field technical specialists, and customers. I have dealt more in depth with clients and their concerns and was able to effectively resolve complaints and teach proper operation of their vehicle. I am also responsible for writing and submitting dealer product reports to the factory for review. I am one of two team leaders in the shop. I dispatch work and keep the flow steady through the shop. I have been consistently among the top producers in the shop since I've been employed here, as well as maintaining one of the lowest rates of comebacks. I take pride in my work quality, only releasing a vehicle after i know it was repaired to Lexus, and the client's, standards.I am one of two Master Diagnostic Specialists that are responsible for most of the daily shop operations. In this position, i have also been directly responsible for the investigation and development of new service bulletins issued by Lexus.

I began my career as a technician with Magnussen Lexus and worked there for seven years. I was able to move up from apprentice to master technician quickly, due to my advanced understanding of the material and my ability to apply it in the real world. I dealt with clients on a daily basis, and was able to meet and exceed their needs. I also served as a team leader, as well as a smog technician. I was in the original cast of technicians that moved to the new multi-million dollar facility, raising the bar for Lexus service in the bay area.

I took the first steps into becoming an automotive technician by taking an entry level job detailing cars. I was able to speak to the technicians and learn from them in my down time. On my breaks and lunch, i shadowed the master techs in the shop to learn the dealership and repair processes. I was responsible for detailing and delivering all sold vehicles at the dealership, as well as maintaining a clean lot of vehicles. I managed the key system as well, removing and organizing the keys from the vehicle key boxes at the end of every business day.

I started my professional working career working in retail sales. I was on the sales floor in numberous departments including: Mobile Audio, Cellular, Computers, Home Audio, and Home Video. I started with small electronic sales, and due to excellent sales and customer service skills, i was moved up to the computer department. I spend a lot of time in many departments thereafter due to my advanced knowledge of the electronics being sold. I also worked part time in the car audio installation area helping and learning about basic automotive multimedia installation. This helped build a foundation of basic electronics and vehicle disassembly.
