Mr. Stearns resumed work to guide a congregation of roughly 150 families through the final planning stages for a massive expansion of the church’s existing building. He facilitates a team to research, develop and present design options pros and cons for each requirement in order to obtain congregational consensus on design plans. He is instrumental in designing the final requirements for electrical, plumbing, and HVAC. The team is currently focused on audio, visual, and lighting for the sanctuary suitable for viewing, creating, and publishing high quality video feeds on social media accounts. The facility will have the ability to create high quality video productions of weddings and other celebrations. The church will install cutting edge technologies to control the Audio, Visual, and Lighting (AVL) using a tablet in conjunction with an all inclusive AVL control station, with a focus on low voltage LED light fixtures. His team is also researching Audio Induction Loop systems for hearing impaired installation options in this state of the art facility. Options for materials and color schemes throughout the facility for the walls, ceilings and floors are in the final selection phase with a focus on not only aesthetics, but acoustical impact on the spoken voice as well as the church’s rich music programs.

I am currently working on a Sci Fi novel. It is an epic struggle of Good vs. Evil 15,000 years in the making with the Great Pyramid of Giza as a focal point. I expect to have my story out in int he summer of 2015. My first novel was a fantastic story, but ended up over 1,000 pages and very complex. The Publisher indicated that many readers would be reluctant to read such a large and complex book by an unknown author, and I agree. So while the first book is drafted, I have placed it on the back burner and have started a 300 page prequel which I will release first. It should launch the storyline and requires no additional research. The name of the series is "Harmonic Wars", and the name of my new book is "Guardians of the Crystal Skulls." :-)
