I worked with Greg several times while we were contracting at Euphony and occasionally tested software he had written. Greg was always willing to take the time to answer any questions I had, no matter how obscure or time consuming they turned out to be - which is not always the case with some developers. His patience was always very much appreciated!

I worked on various trade management systems for this American merchant bank. I have been involved in design, analysis, documentation and development of these systems. Most of the applications have been in a trade support environment for both Foreign exchange and SWAP dealing systems. I was initially taken on to develop an application called TMS which is a trade management system which feed real-time trades into the banks accounting systems. This system was implemented in December 1998. I was then moved onto a team that supported an application called UPMS, which is a Unified Position Management System. This system managed both FX and FI. As the FX business grew the FX and FI business was split. I was given the responsibility of project managing the system, which serviced the FX side of the business. I joined a project called PRADO. This project was based in NewYork for the European offices. The PRADO application was originally written in Fox for the Apple Mac. We converted this to Foxpro 2.6 for windows and then migrated the application into Visual Foxpro. This conversion project lasted about 3 months and was then handed over to a support team. This application was called STIRT and was a hybrid of the UPMS system. STIRT managed the short-term interest rate trades. I was responsible for the conversion of STIRT when the EURO was introduced in January 1999. This system was based in London and served Tokyo, Singapore and Sydney. I supported all overnight batch runs in these foreign locations. I was responsible for the Y2K conversion of this system. I supported a deal entry system for the Front office. This system was called EIRST and was based in Paris. I joined the team to bring the support function to London. The EIRST application is written in Win Fox 2.6, Unix, Sybase, SQL server, Access, Java, Perl, HTML and Stored procedures.
