  I’ve facilitated creative workshops around development issues with various community groups, immigrant youth, Travellers, women, teenagers, young people with special needs and more. In my work I use different creative means such as animation, puppetry and other visual arts in order to: > develop greater self-awareness and acceptance > explore development issues > allow space for social interaction > explore participants’ own voices around issues that are relevant to them and find creative ways to deliver their messages. My workshops are within the informal education sphere and are inspired by Rogers & Freire’s methodology I provide graphic solutions for the community sector. This includes print, illustrations and access to social media. In the past year I’ve worked mainly with Traveller organisations in Cork City.   The main focus of my work in the Youth Link Project was to act as a link between the mainstream youth services and the Traveller community including young Traveller people, their families, extended families and the broader Traveller community. Some of my main responsibilities were: identify the barriers young Travellers are facing in taking part in the mainstream youth services, keep in close contact with the young people and their families through outreach work, work closely with youth workers from the mainstream youth services, design and facilitate various programmes, design and take part in delivering a Traveller Youth Work Seminar, write policy documents, work with volunteers and support their needs and keep within the project budget.
