- Prepares annual financial budget report, along with all ongoing district financial statements and transparency reporting requirements; - Assumes responsibility for the effective reporting of all district financial transactions and compliance with all regulations; - Conducts financial analysis of program budgets and prepares projections of revenues and expenditures; - Manages debt services, Sinking Fund, and Recreation Millage expenditures; - Oversees school assessments, tax levies, and collections; - Implements all business office procedures and employee functions to include Human Resources, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable; - Assists with strategic financial planning and the creation of applicable district policies and procedures; - Manages the annual financial audit; - Briefs the Board of Education and stakeholders, as required; - Meets regularly with the Board Treasurer and the Board Finance Committee; - Advises the Board of Education and Superintendent on collective bargaining and contract negotiations.
