      During this period I worked on two different assignments.Cultural Heritage Advisor: For the main period I wrote an advisory for our client (a municipality in the Netherlands) about how to handle the disposal of a specific Dutch art collection called the ‘BKR-collectie’, or ‘Beeldend Kunstenaars Regeling – collectie’, a collection deriving from a Dutch social artists settlement between 1956 and 1992. While this type of collection occurs frequently in Dutch governmental art collections, unfortunately the art is generally unpopular for display (note that there are exceptions) and known for its difficult legislation surrounding the disposal of the pieces. During this project I carried out an inventory by photographing and registering the ± 400 pieces of art, advised about a selection of the collection suitable for display and wrote an advisory about how to dispose the remaining art in a responsible and respectful manner towards the artists, based on the LAMO (Leidraad Afstoten Museale Objecten), a guide for responsible disposal of museum objects, as well as several other publications.Communications Officer:The second task during this traineeship was of a different nature and consisted of supporting the communication officer of ABC Nova in several all-round assignments such as writing and photographing (about) projects, maintaining the company's website and social media, supporting during big conferences, monitor the corporate identity and more.
