Jill Fox Bernaciak, ABD, Leadership

Colleen was a positive force in the classroom and is a leader among her peers. I had the pleasure of working with her in my Consumer Behavior, Advertising Seminar, Marketing Principles and several other courses. She was a consistently high performer with assignments and a go-to team leader for projects. Beyond the classroom, Colleen was relied on in the Dean's office to support a wide variety of student activities and services and cheerfully stepped up to do whatever what asked of her. She accompanied our Campus Ministry Immersion Experience in Nicaragua, which was designed to challenge students on their perceptions of family and work life in a developing country. Colleen embraced this opportunity to the fullest and I will never forget how she connected with the children and families in home-stay communities, whether they were in primitive or low income areas, that didn't have all the typical "creature comforts" that we Americans expect. Colleen's warmth, positive spirit, energy and commitment always shines through!
