Explained mathematical concepts in Introduction to Calculus, Calculus of One and Several Variables, Calculus of Vector-Valued Function, and Linear Algebra with Applications through weekly drop-in hours and one-on-one sessions. Assessed student learning progress to develop individual tutee schedules and increased two students grades from a B to an A in Fall 2020. Hosted study and review sessions for students in preparation for exams. Examined Type Ia Supernovae progenitor channels by visualizing Supernovae data through Gaussian Process Regression (GPR) models in Python and modifying existing code to detect ‘C II’ absorption feature detection in the Supernovae data. Analyzed and imported datasets of 50+ Supernovae through Pandas and NumPy functions to confirm Supernovae classification into theoretical models regarding Chandrasekhar Mass Explosions and Sub-Chandrasekhar channels. Collected Supernovae data in various filetypes (CSV, TXT, XLS) through open-source resources and elementary SQL. Presented on research progress through weekly meetings with fellow Carnegie interns and staff. Show less

Applied existing Model Based Systems Engineering tools to enhance Safety and Mission Assurance analyses, focusing on Failure Models and Effects Analysis and modeling Mission Assurance data products. Determined viable ways to represent SMA Data Products in a SysML model and learned the importance of several Safety and Mission Assurance products. Digitally integrated and connected a plethora of previous and current NASA SMA documentation into a singular SysML using activity diagrams, block diagrams, and nested internal block diagrams. Created a Processes, Controls, and Standards model to relate manufacturing processes, controls for those processes, and technical standards regarding both using block diagrams and dependency matrices. Applied the use of requirement blocks to model the hierarchy of Objectives and Strategies for Reliability and Maintainability (R&M) work from information in the NASA R&M Standard for Spaceflight and Support Systems.
