  Conceived, developed, and managed, in collaboration with students and parents, a self-directed learning environment for youth ages 7-18. Conceived and managed the development of exF Dashboard, a web-based executive function application and tool for students. exF Dashboard not only provides students with the necessary tools to plan and organize, record and monitor, and evaluate progress with academic, social/emotional, and practical-life skills goals, but also to develop an understanding of their individual learning processes. exF Dashboard increases communication of student progress at all levels: student, parent, staff, and administration.Conceived, developed, managed, and directed Con Los Ojos Abiertos!, a Spanish-language, cultural, and service learning program in Guatemala, for high school students.

  Founded a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. Planned, organized, and coordinated all business development activities. Recruited attorneys in collaboration with the Lawyers Clearing House (Boston). Prepared budget and financial reports. Researched, identified, acquired, and managed grants. Attended conferences, conventions, association meetings, and made contact with prospective partners. Successfully “created a buzz” regarding the organization and its mission. Established a partnership with EdVisions, Inc., an organization committed to helping to create a national network of great small schools, and obtained $150,000 in start-up funds. Led two significant projects, including successful completion of the application process for a Charter, and initial development of a curriculum resource guide.Built a team of more than 15 education professionals and managed the application process for obtaining a Charter from the MA Department of Education. Successfully coordinated the design of a comprehensive educational program for an innovative, project-based, maritime-focused public middle school (grades 5-8). The MA Board of Education approved the Charter in February 2006.
