Working summers as the head field technician in Fort Collins to do surveillance and decrease West Nile disease in Colorado. The job started out of Loveland, Colorado, my first summer but I was placed as the head of our Fort Collins crew in my second year of working with VDCI. I soon led groups daily to finish large areas for pesticide application; I also answered and taught many new technicians how to correctly apply pesticides, document applications of pesticides, and educate the public about all we do at Vector Disease Control International.
