  • Data Collection and Analysis: collect and process data from the US Census (in areas such as demographics, language use, educational attainment, employment status, poverty levels, housing conditions, etc.) to investigate and understand the actual image of the locations and hurdles immigrant and refugee populations face. • GIS Mapping: Using both platforms (ArcGIS and QGIS), I design interactive, meaningful maps, specially highlighting areas with high poverty rates among immigrant populations, zones with prevalent non-English home languages, and locations with sizable refugee communities. • Visual Storytelling: Each map I create will contribute to a comprehensive narrative, illuminating the lives and struggles of immigrants and refugees.
