I worked with Dr. Tom Anchordoquy and his laboratory on their research involving milk exosome pathways and chemotherapeutic delivery systems. Trained in mouse handling to perform in vivo experiments to test the reliability, potency, and capacity of an oral dosage pathway for chemotherapy under a National Institutes of Health grant. In June of 2021, I was rewarded the American Foundation of Pharmaceutical Education's Gateway to Research Award for my work in this laboratory.

Under the guidance of Dr. Ken Reed and Dr. Gary Skuse, I founded a new laboratory designed to investigate the efficacy of a particular dye as a novel cancer therapy. Utilized tissue culture methods for in vitro studies, organized the foundation of a new laboratory including financial discussions with the Dean, and recruited new students for the future success of the laboratory after graduation.
