I have worked with Michael off & on over his tenure at Honeywell and have managed him recently for several years. Michael has a super attitude and is always willing to do whatever is necessary to get things done right. He is extremely technically competent and able to pick up and understand new technologies quickly and thoroughly. He did a fantastic job at a large customer coming up to speed quickly in a very complicated environment and soon was an acknowledged expert. He would be a great asset to your team!

During my time at Datamax/O’Neil and Honeywell, I supported industral printers, barcode scanners, and Android mobility devices. As a part of the sales team, I worked on large customer testing and deployments using custom solutions and MDM (Mobile Device Managers) like AirWatch. While I worked mostly with AirWatch/Workspace ONE , I also worked with other MDMs like Soti MobiControl. While I worked with many customers, I had repeated opportunities to work with large shipping and retail customers. I participated in meetings where we explained our solutions and worked up product/project requirements. I helped determine what was required to be successful and tested our products before delivering them and while onsite with the customer. Printers: • I created Lua scripts that allowed customers to use our printers as a drop in solution that worked with their current applications. • I worked with engineering to get our printers to work with customer’s current labels, as well as work up new label formats. • I reviewed network traces to determine if the printer was working correctly or if an issue was elsewhere. • I helped determine added features that would make our printers more successful. Scanners: • I worked with the customer to determine scanner requirements and which model would work best for their needs. • I wrote configurations for customers that allowed the scanner to work in their applications and tested before delivering. Android Mobility: • I wrote configurations for Android devices using Honeywell tools, AirWatch, and Zero Touch. • I analyzed logs like logcat and network traces. • I created PowerShell functions to configure Android devices, filter log files, and test new features or fixes. • I worked with our customers to determine if new features were needed and tested our solutions. • I worked with engineering to get new features added and tested before delivering the solution to our customers. In this customer facing role, I use my extensive knowledge of Walmart to write software and manage engineering for multi-million dollar projects. My projects provide solutions that both meets the customers needs and increases revenue for Zebra. With my 11 years of experience in the highly competitive Walmart environment, I have advanced our mobile, tabletop, and RFID product lines by: . helping to secure the two largest purchase orders in my company's history . creating a test lab, including virtual servers and databases, where we can simulate the complex customer environments to ensure the quality of our solutions . creating software and determining new printer features that help the customer integrate our printers into their applications . managing projects where I coordinate with various engineering teams within Zebra and Walmart to ensure that the products meet and exceed the customer's expectations . working with various Walmart teams so they could integrate our printers into their systems . writing programs to streamline our printer configuration process . capturing and analyzing wired and wireless network traces Show less

I worked on Walmart's Network Management Team where it was my responsibility to update and monitor Cisco and Symbol/Motorola access points at the Walmart Distribution Centers. I was a part of the 2 week DC War Room where we reconfigured all DC wireless networks. I created software that allowed us to upgrade the firmware and settings of the access points faster and with better validation than before. I followed up with programs that monitored the wireless network and let us know if a device did not have the correct settings. Show less

I was on the HP Walmart help desk which was part of a mission critical, global account support team. I was responsible for determining the root cause of hardware or OS related problems with Walmart's medium to high end HP-UX servers whether in a store or Distribution Center. I would determine which part needed to be replaced and worked with Walmart to schedule a time to repair the server. I was familiar with a wide variety of equipment from single servers to clusters and disk arrays located around the world. I trained new members of the team and was responsible for creating tools that we used to examine the servers faster. Show less

I created databases and the user interface in Microsoft Access 97 Visual Basic to allow users to manipulate data without knowing any database programming. I also created web-based database interfaces using Java servlets and HTML forms and tied the database in with the FYI document management system. While at Burrough-Brasuell I created many 3D models and structural animations in AutoCAD and 3D-Studio. We used these models to help verify the structural design, make plan and elevation prints, and provide fully rendered 3D walk-through for our clients. In addition I worked with another programmer to create a tool that used STADD models to create AutoCAD drawings. This greatly decreased the time needed to create the structural drawings as we were able to automate many of the tasks.
