Manage a relative volatility book consisting of agricultural commodity options and futures specializing in Chicago Soft Wheat, Corn, Soybeans, Soybean Meal, and Soybean Oil on the CBOT. Run constant analysis on price / volatility changes to derive trading ideas and manage risk. Collaborated with a team of traders to create a database of vol and historical price information and subsequently use this database to run proprietary vol analysis. Monitor USDA WASDE reports, crop progress, stocks, stocks/usage ratios, yields, intended acreage, harvested acres and weather among other factors to determine potential shocks in supply/demand equation. Combine unique vol/skew analysis with fundamental analysis on crops in order to determine where various USDA crop reports should be priced and position deltas for anticipated moves. Monitor SPAN risk on daily basis in order to reduce margin and increase percentage returns.
