I'm an Ex-Google Software Engineer that fell in love with the idea of Coding Bootcamps. That’s why I founded Wakka. Our product helps teach programming using practical exercises and a unique AI guide. We built Wakka from the ground-up to be collaborative and fit well in a group learning environment, with activity insights flowing to the teacher in real-time. As a coding bootcamp, you can add your own materials (or use ours), and use your own branding to stand out from the crowd. Learning to code is hard, but Wakka makes teaching it easy! Try it out for free, get started in minutes. Let’s connect and I’ll tell you more 😀 Show less

Google Engineering: Created the "Did you just sign in?" Android notification. Developed and supported the backend system that sends billions of these time-critical notifications per month to users about the security of their account. https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/7305876 https://www.reddit.com/r/memes/comments/ex832h/did_you_just_sign_in Google Research 1: Helped develop a 3D scanner for physical items that is used to preserve and share our cultural heritage: https://techcrunch.com/2015/04/09/googles-online-art-museum-adds-3d-scans Google Research 2: Led the team that developed the "Hey Google, read it" feature that converts any webpage to a podcast and reads it to you: https://blog.google/products/assistant/easier-access-web-pages-let-assistant-read-it-aloud Show less

Worked the Advanced Imaging Technology group on the next generation 3D camera to replace the popular Kinect. It was based on Time-Of-Flight technology which is super-cool and basically measures the amount of time a photon takes to reach from the camera light source to an object and back: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Time_of_flight Project 1: Devised and built a prototype for a novel hardware-level optics-based algorithm for real-time noise removal. It was awesome to hack it together with an optical engineer at your side! I used linear algebra to prove our method works and then we tested it in practice and indeed it worked! Project 2: Built a prototype for a biometric system for real-time person identification based on identifying a person's unique vein structure. Apparently it's unique just like a fingerprint and also highly visible form an IR camera! The algorithm was based on a statistical method. I made a live demo to my 30-person research group where it successfully identified all team members! Show less
