Bio
Leah Jonker
I am the production lead for all Aerial 2D and satellite imagery on Bing Maps and I am writing to recommend Catherine Richardson. For the last six months, Catherine has worked on my team as a geospatial quality control operator. Though the team has changed size several times, Catherine’s abilities have kept her on the team from the team’s first day. Catherine’s interest in project management was obvious even after day one of training as she found areas to take charge, assisting other teammates with questions and needs. Her ability to speak her mind and present workflow ideas benefited the team and encouraged leadership and brainstorming from other teammates. Catherine has been a part of many projects, including ‘World Rebuild’ where different parts of the world presented unique issues daily. Her ability to adapt to change and adopt new projects allowed our team to move forward at a consistently rapid rate. Adaptability is perhaps her strongest skill and is the reason she was singled out among her teammates to continue on with the project. In addition, she is motivated to meet deadlines, putting in longer hours when needed and vamping up productivity to ensure deadlines are not overlooked. With skills in leadership, adaptability and motivation, she is capable of finding new approaches and methods to get the job done. As an employee, she is kind and understanding. Though changes bring unease and anxiety, Catherine is able to keep a level head and address concerns reasonably. She works well with teammates, keeping communication open and maintaining professional friendships. Catherine has great potential to step up as a leader, especially in the tech field. She is a great addition to any team. Though she is still getting a handle on what management involves, she is always eager to learn and many times she has proven herself capable of learning on the spot. When the team has needed someone to step up, Catherine has taken the challenge eagerly.
