I met Tricia through our mutual participation in the Leadership Northern Kentucky program during 2012/13. As a fundraising professional, she has since become an invaluable resource whenever I need someone with whom to share ideas, seek advice, understand new trends, or learn about best practices in fundraising. Tricia also has a wonderful ability to remain calm during seemingly insurmountable challenges and not only overcome those challenges but deliver on desired outcomes. Personally, I find that there are a great deal of individuals who manage to float from various jobs as "fundraising professionals." They come aboard as contenders and eventually reveal themselves as "pretenders," just before moving onto their next opportunity. Anyone who has hired a fundraising professional know there are a great deal of people who cannot do this work but manage to float under the radar. Fortunately, there are needles in the haystack, like Tricia, who not only enjoy the rewarding work of fundraising and giving back to their communities, but who also excel at it. I would not only recommend Tricia for any leadership position in fundraising, but would also hire her myself should I have the opportunity to do so.

Tricia is the rare type of leader who rolls up her sleeves and actually does what she asks others to do. She possesses the charisma, confidence, emotional intelligence and business acumen necessary to operate any successful enterprise. Her generous spirit and welcoming nature serve her well in connecting with volunteers, funders, and board members alike. If you are looking for an authentic servant leader, I recommend Tricia Watts.
