• Led global cross team project to automate moderation checks of millions of news articles and images to ensure compliance with Microsoft publishing standards in 60+ markets using machine learning, computer vision and rule-based techniques. Defined roadmap, scope and success metrics of project and worked with a team of data scientists to develop classifiers • Developed dashboard for over 200 news editors to display, track and analyse key performance indicators relevant to the moderation process using Kusto (an analytics cloud platform that uses an SQL-like language for querying big data) and PowerBI • Defined requirements, designed UX and worked with a team of engineers to develop a communications centre within the company’s partner platform which allowed publishers to stay informed of company updates and provide feedback on new features • Led project to decommission unused, stale news videos from the company's datastore which contributed up to $20,000 in savings per year • Conducted experiments in several markets to collect data and identify racial and gender biases in MSN’s news feed as part of the company’s Diversity & Inclusion initiative.
