In challenging and demanding environment test work needed to carried out efficiently whilst dynamic problem solving was key as we overcame hurdles within the environment and machine capabilities.

Work included: -Identifying cost reduction opportunities through events, own observation, shop floor walks and supplier visits -Commercially and technically (communicating with buyer, supplier and engineering) evaluate assigned opportunities and develop business case for project justification and business submission -Deliver project through completion whilst adhering to company processes -Support larger category projects -Produce should cost models using PCM software -Visit suppliers to gain an understanding of manufacturing processes and gather cost reduction ideas -Attend supplier negotiations and business presentations Project management & project prioritisation were key learning aspects while in SCM.
