I am currently working as Social Media Executive for Oasis Fashions; doing everything from managing and updating the social media channels to creating content for our emails, website and blog. I am careful to follow our brand manifesto and tone of voice to make sure the copy is consistent throughout all channels but am also confident in using my own judgement on what is right for the brand. Having worked in this role as an assistant for six months, for the last 6 months I have stepped up as my editor has moved on, leaving me in charge of creating relevant content for our customers across all aspects of the website and emails. I currently work with our content management tool Fresca and also manage our social media channels through Hootsuite to schedule messages. In addition I create the content for our social media pages on Photoshop and write HTML using Dreamweaver. My journalism work is tested through maintaining the Oasis Blog, constantly reviewing article ideas that fit well with our customer and the brand values as well as making an entertaining read. This has to be a mixture of event reviews, films to see and brand messages, and not just a selling platform for Oasis. As acting editor, I also have to liaise with the design team to discuss the unique details about our collections that will keep our customers engaged and inspired across all platforms. Show less
