  I worked at the Ski Santa Fe Children's Ski School. Here I taught beginner to advanced skiing and snowboarding for children ages 3-12. I also assisted in booking guests and processing payments for future reservations. Our daily operations consisted of greeting the families upon arrival, assisting with the completion of all necessary paper work, and fitting the children with the proper ski and snowboard equipment. From that point on, we were responsible for the children until the parents returned for pick up at the end of the day. Lessons would last from 9am - 3pm and could take place on our bunny hill, all the way to advanced trails on the upper mountain. Throughout the lessons I would try my best to make sure the students were having as much fun as possible while still ensuring they knew and followed the safety code of the mountain. While this was one of my most enjoyable and gratifying jobs, it was definitely the most challenging. Show less

  Most of my time working for the Bureau of Land Management was spent at Tent Rocks National Monument in Cochiti Pueblo, NM. Here I performed a wide variety of tasks such as visitor fee collections, issuing of permits for school visits, guided tours of the monument for special visits, and trail maintenance. While here I also received S-212 Wild Land Fire Chainsaw Operator Certification. My time away from the monument was spent at the field office doing more office work than the monument itself. Here I assisted in the development of an Outdoor Education Curriculum for grades 3-8. This consisted of hands on activities to complete while at the monument on their field trip, as well as activities to complete in the classroom. Show less
