I have had the pleasure of knowing and working with Daniel over the last two years as he has served as the Treasurer for the American Society of Civil Engineers, Orange County (OC) Branch, Younger Member Forum (YMF). I honestly do not know how he juggles all of the responsibilities he has, it is quite impressive. As the treasurer for our YMF group, Daniel was responsible for the overall financial health of our non-profit organization. He was also responsible for reimbursing board members for events throughout the year. Over the last year, our group hosted/attended a significant number of events and Daniel was responsible for handling all the income and expenditures for the group. I have been impressed with Daniel and his ability to manage his workload as he is currently enrolled in a full-time Master Programs, works part time at LACSD, handles the treasury for OC-YMF and the myriad of other responsibilities he has. It has been absolute pleasure working with Daniel, thank you for all your service.

My role in supervising Daniel falls between direct supervision and being a senior. Daniel has worked four months at the Los Angeles County Sanitation Districts as a student worker in the Joint Water Pollution Control Plant Research Section. Daniel maintains and operates research bench-scale digesters for me on a daily basis. I instructed Daniel on how to maintain (feed/withdraw/monitor) digesters used as experimental basis to improve wastewater treatment. I have also informed Daniel on other projects I am working on which have to do with the stabilization of utilization of biosolids from a wastewater treatment plant. Daniel is a good independent worker that readily picks up on new tasks. He is innovative and motivated, typically making useful suggestions to improve our experiments. He is reliable and dependable and completes his tasks in an orderly and prompt manner. In closing, I want to emphasize that Daniel is resourceful and self-motivated. Should you have any questions, you can contact me at (310) 830- 2400 x 5315
