  I founded the first iGEM team in Finland, applied for funding, negotiated university support and lab space, interviewed and selected the team members and managed the project from ideation to presenting it at iGEM Giant Jamboree in Boston. In addition I have led the recruiting efforts in assembling the 2015 and 2016 teams.

  Helsinki Fresgo was a restaurant software startup. The Fresgo software allowed consumers to discover restaurants, order and pay for take-away food and interact with the restaurant staff when dining in. For restaurants the Fresgo software provided an order management interface and an additional marketing channel to reach new customers. We ran in Summer of Startups in 2014 and I was mostly working in a software developer role.

Trichoderma reesei is the most widely used industrial cellulase enzyme producer that enables enzymatic biomass degradation in biofuel production. Thus, the main objective in my thesis is to form new hypotheses for additional cellulase enzyme regulators.
