  I completed an 8-week internship at the Pakistan Agriculture Council Institute. During my time, I had the opportunity to work in several departments and gained hands-on experience in animal health science, fishery, poultry, dairy, and microbiology labs. In the microbiology labs, I learned about the different microorganisms that affect plants and animals, as well as their roles in various biological processes. I gained hands-on experience in laboratory techniques such as culturing, staining, and microscopic examination of microorganisms. In the animal health science department, I learned about cryopreservation, various animal diseases, and their prevention methods. I also gained knowledge about different vaccines and medications used to treat and prevent animal diseases. During my time in the fishery department, I learned about the breeding and management of fish populations, as well as various types of aquatic plants and animals. I gained an understanding of the different factors affecting fish growth and health, such as water quality and temperature. In the poultry department, I worked with different breeds of chickens and learned about their breeding and rearing processes. I assisted with tasks such as feeding, cleaning, and managing the poultry houses. I also learned about the different diseases that affect poultry and the measures used to prevent and treat them. In the dairy department, I learned about milk production and processing, as well as the different types of dairy products that can be made from milk. I assisted with tasks such as milking, feeding, and cleaning the cows and the milking equipment. I also gained an understanding of the various tests used to assess milk quality. Overall, my internship at NARC provided me with a wealth of knowledge and experience in various fields of agriculture, and I am grateful for the opportunity to have worked in such a prestigious institution.
