1. Assist the Project Engineer in managing all work activities for the group of Sub-contractors,Supervisors, and workers. 2. Study repair or conversion requirements defined in the Specifications, inspect jobs at thesite and clarify requirements with the Project Engineer or Ship Officers. 3. Assist the Engineer / Project Manager in preparing the Work Plan. 4. Delegate jobs to supervisors and plan the manpower required for the jobs in accordance tothe budgeted man-hours provided by the Project Managers/ Engineers. 5. Resolve problems encountered by the Supervisors and manage the coordination betweenthe different trades and Sections. 6. Raise or approve Issue Passes for materials and equipment required for the jobs accordingly. 7. Issue Foreman Order Chits to other relevant Sections / Shops. 8. Prepare the necessary Subcontractors Requisition forms and seek formal approval from the Section Manager / Assistant Section Manager. 9. Monitor the work of sub-contractors to ensure that quality and workmanship conform tocompany standards. 10. Track and report daily work progress to the Section Manager / Assistant Section Manageror the Project Manager. 11. Ensure that all safety procedures and regulations are complied with, including theapplication of work permits and the periodic checks on housekeeping and safety equipmentused in his Section / Shop and on board ships. 12.
