  I lead the creation of six print issues of Horticulture, a 115-year-old magazine for gardening enthusiasts, each year. I collaborate with our Editorial Director to plan themes for each issue, then I assign features and columns to freelance writers. I edit their work from the draft stage all the way through copy editing, fact checking and final proofreading. I find appropriate images and artwork for every article and I offer critique to our Designer. I write 12+ articles (features and columns) each year, as well as all magazine headlines, captions and cover copy. I also plan and execute weekly updates (repurposed material plus original content) to Horticulture's website, Hortmag.com, and its enewsletter. Show less
