As soon as the Pandemic started in Brazil in 2020, I decided to step down from the field and quarentine (for family health and safety reasons). We identified a market gap in medical marketing and, with another partner, we quickly started a lean and well organized operation to sell and deliver high quality video editing and social media management service for phisicians. The first year of the operation resulted in over 200K (BRL) revenue, which doubled the next year. I was back at MESP in order to help the commercial expansion through Sales Representatives scattered around Brazil. My responsibilities included visiting field applications and providing material, training, and technical support for the sales team. My job was so appreciated and necessary that by the time I decided to leave the company, in the beginning of the Pandemic, I was occupying the National Sales Manager position due to my leadership and communication skills. Here are some of my duties: - The project specifications always passed though my approval, so I’d make sure that the right solution was going to be presented to the client. - When needed, I would travel to the client’s plant and measure, collect samples, verify future production expectations, so our designed solution would have margin for future growth. - Some projects, especially those in partnership with cardboard manufacturers that were not serialised equipment, needed a technical scope to make the application more tangible to the customer's eyes. So I designed these documents as well and helped the sales team to present the future solution and gain the trust we needed to start production. - Throughout production, I would make sure the client was updated periodically sending videos, reports and conducting online and on-site meetings and always making sure all the expectations and project requirements were going to be met. - Try-out and commissioning were also a big part of my job. As the main reference for the customer, I needed to be there when we hit play and started forming trays or packaging their product with our machines. - As I started at MESP from the bottom, I was familiar with the technical aspects of the products in a great deal of detail. I was the responsible programmer in some machines, so it was simple and easy to troubleshoot when I received a call from my clients or when I was travelling to develop sales. That reinforced even more my customer’s trust as well as MESP’s brand. Show less

Motivated to develop a more efficient service platform for MESP machines and also having the opportunity of providing maintenance service directly to cardboard manufacturers (WestRock, International Paper, Klabin, Trombini and others), I decided to partner up with Mecalônia and expand our client’s base not only to cardboard lending companies, but also to final customers. I developed an efficient and low-cost remote sales strategy and, as a result, we were able to expand our activities to more than 100 final clients, covering not only MESP machines, but also equipment from other manufacturers, such as BOIX, Plasmetal and Packform. The market pulled us to start developing our own equipment and that is why in 2016, Mecalônia pivoted and became a manufacturer. The company started developing a RSC case tape-formation machine, called MECA-1F. We used Agile Methodologies to develop the project and my role was Product Owner, bringing the customer’s point of view to the project. I also helped find and import the components used for the cutting-edge hardware that was developed, as the systems used to control and operate the machine were built from scratch. Needless to say, this experience has provided me with a big deal of information and a broad view of the cardboard market and technologies applied for packaging. Show less

My first time at MESP was in 2009, but I decided to have an international experience in Australia to do part of my Electrical Engineering degree there. As soon as I came back from my internship, I returned to work at MESP, in 2015. I had done a pretty good technical job in the past, but I found joy and passion working to develop new projects and applications, so I decided to come back as a support specialist, helping clients to troubleshoot and feeding the commercial team with insights for new projects and opportunities. It did not take long for me to realise the power of combining my technical skills with my business’ point of view, so I dedicated my time developing relationships with operators, managers, directors, and salespeople in order to always be the first to know both problems with equipment as well as new business opportunities. What I like to call “sales-through-service” was proven to be an efficient channel for revenue and that not only was good for the company, but it also helped me understand my place in the market as a technical / sales professional. Since then, I have been the interface between clients and the engineering team, providing valuable insight for developing innovative, robust and desired machinery, meeting each and every specification and expectations that the customer asks for, always keeping my company's vision and best interests at heart.
