  Building on my year-long placement experience, I spent a year in Unilever's Homecare Packaging Design team, supporting design for some of Unilever's biggest and most successful brands. I sat in a varied & talented team, focusing on early design validation and design development with technical rigor. My flexibility, attention to detail and a user-centric approach saw positive influence on a wide variety of projects and capability, including co-leading the development phase of a major… Building on my year-long placement experience, I spent a year in Unilever's Homecare Packaging Design team, supporting design for some of Unilever's biggest and most successful brands. I sat in a varied & talented team, focusing on early design validation and design development with technical rigor.   I returned to Leeds University after placement to complete my degree and translate my industry design experience into personal projects. I graduated in the summer of 2013 with a First Class Honours, building on my grades and experience from my first two years at the University. With modules spanning the earliest stages of innovation & discovery to landing a market-driven and technically aware solution, my final year gave me the opportunity to practice my skills on a personal project… I returned to Leeds University after placement to complete my degree and translate my industry design experience into personal projects. I graduated in the summer of 2013 with a First Class Honours, building on my grades and experience from my first two years at the University. With modules spanning the earliest stages of innovation & discovery to landing a market-driven and technically aware solution, my final year gave me the opportunity to practice my skills on a personal project from conception to delivery.   I spent my industrial placement year working with Unilever's global packaging design group, offering design support for some of worlds biggest and most successful brands. Throughout my placement I worked on an variety of projects for all of Unilever's major categories, requiring both a range and depth of skill sets. Recognised for my wide design proficiency; I worked on projects from the earliest stage of concept generation, right through to technical realisation. Contributing to these… I spent my industrial placement year working with Unilever's global packaging design group, offering design support for some of worlds biggest and most successful brands. Throughout my placement I worked on an variety of projects for all of Unilever's major categories, requiring both a range and depth of skill sets. Recognised for my wide design proficiency; I worked on projects from the earliest stage of concept generation, right through to technical realisation. Contributing to these projects tested my current abilities within design, and provided constant challenge to learn and grow into an experienced and reliable team member. I co-facilitated training and recruitment and became an active member of Unilever's prototyping team, as well as being responsible for technical CAD data and early concept communication on a variety of projects. The success of this role relied on a holistic and collaborative approach with all Unilever's functions including; marketing, formulation, manufacture, supply chain, external partners and stakeholders.
