 My PhD research includes three papers as follows: o The first one is about the effect of CVA/DVA (BCVA) on systemic risk in Interest Rate Swaps (IRS) market. Basically, I build a network of financial institutions connected to one another by IRS contracts. After enabling the network, I simulated the 2007-2008 financial crisis by putting shocks to check how the differences of systemic risk resulted from each shock under the variations of connectivity, leverage and premium. This paper is under review to publish in a book named “Network Theory and Agent-Based Modelling in Economics and Finance” of Springer Japan publisher. o The second one is to determine what is the most efficient capital which each financial institution in a financial network should hold for their next obligations (considering CVA, ColVA and FVA besides payments). This question is dealt with by solving an optimisation equation of maximising each counterparty’s benefit. Systemic risk is also simulated by a similar method to the first paper. The second work is planned to be published but still not confirm which publisher. Models of paper one and two are built and solved by Matlab.o The final one is to check impact of new liquidity requirements (Liquidity Coverage Ratio and Net Stable Funding Ratio) of Basel III on banks’ performance including its distance-to-default by running regressions in Stata. All papers are written by LatEx whilst figures and graphs are drawn by RStudio. Skills: model building, programming, strong time management, ability to work independently and under pressure, can-do and problem-solving attitude.
