Bio

Shannon's attention to detail is excellent. This is important when the action is fast and the situation is constantly changing! Pre- and post-bout he is pouring over notes, always working on giving the fans and the athletes the respect and attention they deserve. Shannon creates a rapport with the players and the audience, giving each event a cohesiveness and sense of excitement everyone hopes for when attending a live sports event.
Jay Handler, IOM
To say Shannon...or Voodoo...is a mentor to me wouldn't be quite right. You know as kids growing up we might think, "One day, I want to meet this person", or "How cool would it be to know that person"? Well...since dipping my toes into the Roller Derby announcing pool, there was one guy I always wanted to work with. One guy who people always mentioned when listing the best derby announcers around. I attended a workshop he hosted, I've heard him announce several times, we've worked the mic together a couple, and I've been able to call him on personal issues helping make me a better announcer. Shannon is the man! He's every bit as good as his reputation says he is...probably better. I'm proud to have had the opportunity to work with him, to learn from him, and to know him.
