  The Social Service Committee collects basic necessities such as food and clothes from each student and donates it to various old age homes and orphanages in the city. My duty as President was to initiate and organize these donations. - Organized fundraiser in which each student of the school donated a desired amount of money with which 300 blankets were brought and distributed to the underprivileged living on the streets of Kolkata in the cold months of the winter season - Planned a donation where stationary items were collected from the students of the school over the span of a week and distributed to an orphanage in Raghavpur - Managed a donation of hundreds of packaged food products to the Little Sisters of the Poor (old age home) - Organized a donation of hundreds of washing bars, soaps and warm clothes to Asha Niketan, Premdan, Dakshin Kolkata Seva Partisthan and Calcutta Muslim Orphanage - Initiated weekly collections of basic necessities in school instead of the usual monthly collections Show less
