Coming from a UX background, but equally good with technical teams and 'the business', Tom's been able to come in and steer the new Bookatable app from ideation through research & design and into delivery. I'd sum up Tom's style as 'Less is more'. He's particularly good at distilling ideas to their core and calmly focussing on what's important. He makes good decisions and keeps his development team grounded to the user goals. Tom's also a really nice guy to work with, and would be a reliable member of any product team.

Tom is by far one of the strongest and most rounded Product Owners I have worked with. Although he comes with a very strong creative background in UX/UI design, he never shows bias towards design and very comfortably considers technical constraints/opportunities when making product decisions. In addition, his decisions are strongly driven by data and analytics. This proved to be very useful on the project we both worked on, which was influenced by challenging stakeholders who had conflicting needs and demands. Tom managed these individuals at ease by ensuring the right decision was made for the product based upon facts and data and not opinion. As his Agile Coach, I was immensely pleased by Tom’s thirst for self-improvement to become a better Product Owner. In a very short time period of time, Tom openly listened to and acted upon the feedback and suggestions I threw his way.
