Bentley is very professional, both in the way he conducts his work and in the way he communicates (I have hardly heard or seen an unnecessary phrase or even word being told/written by him, yet he is not the quiet type). Excellent writing + coding skills combined with rigor and a high capacity to get to the point, his profile is exceptional and quite enjoyable to work with. When he asked me to be his Master Thesis advisor, I did not hesitate to say yes right away. I knew his work from the courses I taught (Emerging Market Finance and Macro Modeling using R) and was already aware that he would deliver a good work. Fast-forward a whole year and the result is that he exceeded my expectations! His thesis was a challenge in the beginning. I may have even thought he was being overly ambitious with what he wanted to do (datawise and theoretically), but he accomplished everything he planned to do and perhaps more so. He built and managed a large dataset covering thousands of firms' ESG scores and their hypothetical determinants in order to build several panel data models, building on and contributing to a growing (and relatively new) field in sustainable finance. The title of his work is: ESG performance at the firm level: the effects of macroeconomic conditions on sovereign capital flows. If you are reading up to this point and you are paying attention to the date of appearance of the post, then be ready hear more about his work (in part from me) in the near and perhaps also distant future ;-)

Bentley is prepared, innovative and makes significant contributions to team success. As Product Owner, I had the pleasure to work with Bentley who served primarily as Scrum Master on an Agile team. He joined our team as the program release train was growing and changing, and while tools and processes changed Bentley kept our team up-to-speed and looking sharp. Our team’s function was information management and governance, and Bentley contributed beyond his scrum master role by working on features and delivering a valuable standardized test data process. Bentley gained competency in Scaled Agile product development, business process development, information management and governance, and Supply Chain management, data and analytics. While Bentley was on the team, the team and program were successful and growing. Unfortunately a result of the recent economic downturn has been a cut to the program and team. However, I enthusiastically recommend Bentley and would welcome the opportunity to work with Bentley as Scrum master or team member should the opportunity arise again.

Executive Team Leader

Jun 2015 - Jun 2018
Subiendo's mission is "to empower the next generation of Texas leaders and encourage them to pursue higher education and civic engagement in critical fields." Executive Team Leader; March 2018 - June 2018 As Executive Team Leader, I aided in the planning, organization, and execution of the program. I, along with the Director, Program Coordinator, and two other Executive Team Leaders, engaged 12 Team Leaders and 80 first-generation rising high school students through challenge-based learning (in topics like energy/environment, health, and education) and leadership development. My goal was have every student gain confidence in their skills and feel comfortable with their identity and viewpoints. Team Leader; June 2015 - June 2015 During my experience as a Team Leader for this week-long high school summer program, I directly worked with a group of 5 aspiring first-generation college students through project-based learning, leadership development, and teamwork training. My goal was to understand each unique student perspective, engage students with open forum discussions, and develop their professional skills e.g. teamwork, public speaking, and networking. Business Development Intern
-
Jun 2017 - Aug 2017
In the Marine & Land Systems business unit, I focused on Ship–to–Shore Connector (SSC) and Armored Protected Vehicle (APV) prospects. My goal was to determine the global demand for each product based on a country's current military vehicle and vessel inventory, GDP and growth, military expenditure, US arms exports, competition, and other factors. I developed an automated tool that generated a prospective client list using a standardized points structure and ranking system in conjunction with the previously listed factors. I also conducted industry and competitor research with SWOT analyses, product portfolios, and contract/program evaluations.
