Prior to moving to Jonesboro for retirement I worked as an executive recruiter in Chicago for 35 years. Because my client base was financial trading firms they are used to hiring from only Tier 1 universities. Upon calling a former client and telling him about Joe his first reaction was, "Arkansas State? Are you kidding?" I reminded him of how many people he hired from me and he agreed to talk to Joe, then he flew him to Chicago, and then he made Joe an offer of employment for a salary that in Jonesboro would be among the very highest. The situation was not right for Joe at the time. That an offer was made illustrates the very highest level of competency, as this client was among the choosiest I had worked with. Joe's professional skills are such that there are few IT problems he cannot solve and fewer that he cannot understand fully. I recommend him without reservation.

Joe Kerby is an I.T. professional. Although very true, that statement does not do justice to his set of skills. I have hired Joe for multiple consulting jobs and have been more than satisfied with the results. We have also worked along side each other as fellow I.T. Directors for different Arkansas K-12 school districts. Joe's range of knowledge is his biggest asset. Most people in the industry are one dimensional. They work as a programmer, security specialist, software support, or in some other specific area of I.T. support. Joe stands out in the crowd to me because he is an expert in all of these areas and many more. I work with multiple vendors and consultants every day for hardware, software, and networking infrastructure. It has been my experience that most of them fall short on full integration of their product into my environment. If I am unable to bridge the gap myself, then it's time to call Joe Kerby. Although, no one is an expert on everything, I have yet to have a situation when Joe could not provide some extra insight to solving my problem. Joe Kerby has assisted me in the following areas: Hardware independent imaging; customized scripts for imaging, library automation, and proprietary software; back-up solutions; application distribution; Group Policy; Apple Mac integration with e-directory; mass user import; Wide Area Network design; network security; Cisco trouble-shooting; and too many others to list here. I also have a deep respect for Joe's business sense, understanding of federal/state policies, and purchasing knowledge associated with education. He and I have had several discussions concerning these topics and again his knowledge and insight within each area has been very helpful. Joe Kerby is and will be a valuable asset to any employer.
