Conducting research on applications (individual participant data meta-analysis, longitudinal analysis, regression analysis of interval-censored time-to-event outcomes, predictive modeling) and methodological extensions (mixed effects, penalized additive terms) of transformation models. Implementing the statistical framework in R.

Developed and maintained econometric and forecasting models to analyze the stability and behaviour of the banking system, produced regular forecasts, contributed to applied research projects, wrote sections of periodic reports. Key Accomplishments: ● Managed the preparation of regular forecasts on lending activity of the Hungarian banking sector, presented the results to internal audience of experts and decision-makers. ● Implemented (in Matlab) and improved the methodology of credit forecasts, documented new methodologies. ● Estimated advanced econometric models (Bayesian panel data model, dynamic factor model) to analyze post-crisis behavior of the banking system. ● Identified vulnerabilities of the Hungarian banking system using stress testing methodology; modeled the effects of adverse macroeconomic scenarios on corporate credit risk; contributed to the development of the macroprudential stress testing framework of the Central Bank. ● Performed ad-hoc statistical analyses on large, complex datasets (bank level regulatory data, aggregate macroeconomic time series, financial data etc.) to support regulatory decisions. ● Member of the Macroprudential Research Network (MaRs) of the European Central Bank with a research project on estimating the effect of credit supply shocks on the macroeconomy. ● Research projects in empirical banking, macroeconometrics, and forecasting. Co-authored research papers, presented findings in scientific conferences and in-house research forums. ● Became the department’s resident expert in data analytic and scientific programming questions.
